Equity Actors who sing to an extremely high standard and move well for this high spirited and fun off-Broadway hit musical parody. See breakdown.

PREPARATION
Prepare your best brief song showing range & comic ability, in the style of our show. For FEMALE PERFORMER role, we’d love to (briefly) see your facility with impersonation – this performer will impersonate Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters and more. Bring legible sheet music in the correct key and a headshot/resume.

BREAKDOWN
Show Description: The “convulsively funny” (The New York Times) parody from Gerard Alessandrini, the comic mastermind behind the long-running hit Forbidden Broadway. After tearing it up in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and London, Spamilton: An American Parody will stage a singing, dancing, comedy revolution in Pittsburgh.
SEEKING:
FEMALE PERFORMER/DIVA: 20s-30s, female-identifying, any ethnicity. Tremendous singer with expert vocal versatility – great belter and also soprano – and comfortable with handling rap and Hamilton parody material. An expert, fearless comedienne, with an ability to do impersonations. Same performer also plays: FEMALE “GUEST DIVA” PERFORMER: able to impersonate Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Liza, etc.
MALE PERFORMER 1: 20s-30s, male-identifying, Latino — Lin-Manuel Miranda type. Must be a great singer, good rapper, and great actor with dynamic personality. Must be able to impersonate Lin-Manuel. Tenor or baritenor with great vocal versatility.
THE FOLLOWING ROLES ARE CURRENTLY CAST – performers will be seen as possible future replacements only:
MALE PERFORMER 2: early 20s to 30s, male-identifying,black/African-American/Asian-American/MENASA/etc. Versatile character actor/singer to play many characters. Could be a tall and/or big man, funny, strong voice. Tenor – excellent falsetto/mix a major plus.
MALE PERFORMER 3: 20s-30s, male-identifying, African-American, MENASA, etc. Comedic young leading man type with strong baritone/tenor voice. To play Leslie Odom, Jr. and other characters.
MALE PERFORMER 4: 20s-30s, male-identifying, African-American/Latino/MENASA/etc. Comic leading young man type with strong baritone/tenor voice. Should be comfortable with rapping. To play: Daveed Diggs, Barack Obama, Brian Stokes Mitchell, etc.
MALE SWING: 18+ to cover multiple tracks listed above.

FEMALE SWING: 18+ to cover FEMALE PERFORMER/DIVA track.
